A fibreglass school in the Czech Republic

The Nová Ruda kindergarten by Petr Stolín Architects in Vratislavice nad Nisou, Czech Republic, is not an ordinary rectangular space.

The space is visually connected to the exterior through large parallel windows, and to different floors through atriums.

Conceived as a brick building, the kindergarten is actually built with a glass fiber façade on a wooden grid, and enclosed by a steel structure with two walking paths around the main sections that are hidden from the street by another layer of trapezoidal fibreglass.
