Swiss SITAG enters Asian market

Swiss professional furniture maker SITAG will enter the Asian market. To this effect, SITAG signed a joint-venture agreement with the Singapore-based company Ergoworld Pte Ltd.

From their base in Shanghai, China, and under the name SITAG Ergo China, the partners will start producing and selling SITAG high-end task and conference chairs in China, Malaysia, Hong Kong and the Philippines.

Toni Lee, CEO of SITAG, said: “For the Asian market you need a reliable partner, that knows the market circumstances exactly.”

Ergoworld has been active for more than 30 years in Asia and is selling more than 40,000 office chairs per year.

SITAG is counting more and more on export to grow its business. Currently, about 20% of its turnover comes from Germany. The next target is Asia: “With the label ‘Swiss made’ one can work very well abroad,” commenetd Toni Lee.

SITAG CCO Yilmaz Boduk, responsible for Asia, added: “With our stylish and high-quality products such as SITAGWave, SITAGEgo and SITAGTeam, hopefully many people in Asian offices will feel well and achieve their results.”
