Vitra and Strukton to create total experience

There are many cooperations between furniture manufacturers and other companies, but we hadn’t seen this one – and with such a goal – before.

Swiss maker of designed furniture, Vitra, and construction company Strukton have signed a declaration of intent to start cooperating on a project-by-project basis.

In Wheil-am-Rhein, Switzerland, Vitra’s corporate headquarters, the agreement was signed by Patrick Guntzburger, Managing Director Vitra International,┬áJohan Winnubst, Directeur Exploitation of Strukton Worksphere and Erik Kramers, director of Vitra in the Netherlands.

The goal of this cooperation is to better coordinate living and working environments in order to create ‘total experience concepts’. The combination of the construction knowledge and experience of Strukton and the ‘powerful’ furnishing concepts of Vitra in which the user is the central point, should lead to this total experience.

According to Vitra, ‘both organisations embrace the inside-outside thinking and have experience with housing concepts of great architectural value’.
